When you are in UAE and get the chance to visit Abu Dhabi, you must not miss to check out the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque which is famous for its grand and majestic structure. This mosque has a lot of story to tell about how it was built for quite a decade and you would also get the chance to know about their religion which is Islam. Each element in the mosque represents the vision set by the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan "May God rest his Soul" which is to express and share their Islamic values and culture in its diverse architecture.
This is the largest chandelier among the seven in the mosque and this is found in the main prayer hall. It is the third largest chandelier in the world. This is just one of the main attractions inside the main prayer hall aside from the massive carpet covering the entire hall which is actually considered as the largest in the world. With every detail in the structure, it certainly speaks about their vision of the structure to unite the world. The materials and the creators came from different parts of the world such as Germany, India, Morocco, New Zealand, etc. I was in awe upon entering and much more when the tour guide shared the story about the passion and craftsmanship of the builders as well as about their Islam religion and worship.
It is amazing how this structure has represented unity and respect regardless of your religion and beliefs. Also, if you adore design and architecture, you should definitely visit this and based from my experience, it is more beautiful at night time because of the lights effect.
