If there's one thing that I am so proud to cook, it would be pasta. But for some odd reasons, I could not seem to do a perfect white sauce pasta ever since. Although, every time I do it, my family and friends love it but I am just not satisfied with the texture and how it looks. Finally, I have done a perfect one which I am so in love with. Yes, I am the type of person who falls in love with food and preferably, the ones I cook. I so love ME! lol. So here's the recipe which you can follow and experiment according to your preference.
INGREDIENTS:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Unsalted Butter
Pasta (I prefer Linguine or Fettuccine for white sauce based pasta)
White Button Mushroom
Smoked Turkey
Chicken bits
SAUCE:
Nestle Cream
Evaporated Milk/Milk
Chicken broth
Parmesan Cheese
So here's how I made this yummy dish:
1. Cook the pasta as per the directions. I always have my preferences in what type of pasta should I cook as per the sauce. For white sauce, I prefer Linguine or Fettuccine. Drain the pasta once al dente and set aside.
2. In a hot medium pan, fry the mushrooms until it turns brown without oil or butter. Then if you have bacon, cook the bacon after. Set the mushrooms and bacon separately aside once cooked.
3. In the same pan, melt the butter and drizzle some extra virgin olive oil then fry the garlic.
4. Add the smoked turkey, chicken, and cooked mushroom. You can actually disregard the chicken if you do not want more meat. Season with salt, pepper, and italian herbs.
5. Put the evaporated milk and chicken broth. Cover and let it simmer. As you can see, I do not have measurements because I do not do that. I just estimate the liquids/sauce based on the quantity of the pasta.
6. Add the cream.
7. Add the parmesan cheese and season more if needed.
8. Once your sauce is done, plate your pasta with the sauce and top with chopped bacon.
Voila, you can devour your pasta now.
Bon Appetit!
Peace and Love.
